Curiosity was launched by NASA in 2011 and landed on Mars in 2012.
It is powered by a nuclear fuelled electric generator so is expected to last for many years (unlike the solar powered rovers which stop working during the long Martian winters).
So far, it has discovered that water once existed on Mars.
Curiosity is about the size of a small minivan.
Like the two smaller rovers, Curiosity uses the rocker-bogie system, with each wheel independently driven by an electric motor.
